I would like to hear from anyone who had bought the 2007 download
version to see if I am having unique issues.
I have been able to install and activate the product - but so far I
have not been able to launch Quicktax.
Quicktax 2007 support is still dormant, so I have had some rather
inane responses from email support - which does not work 24 x 7
despite the support site's claim.
It is not like I am new to all this - I have Quicktax personal and
business for a few years, and Quicken and Quickbooks and all work. I
am still on XP, not Vista. I have read through the diagnostic outputs
and have seen no light. Quicktax support has not seen any light either
after 5 days.
So - is QUICKTAX 2007 to be AVOIDED altogether?

Assuming you are using the Cdn product (I think the US one is called
TurboTax?), I believe it may be too early to expect the tax product to work
yet, as per the following:

Until CRA tests and certifies it, there is probably not much reason for
Intuit to have much support available. Perhaps this only refers to the
NetFile aspect of it, but I know other years when I've ordered it early,
they didn't ship out the tax program until the first week of January.
Oh, have just noticed on the website, that if it's ordered on CD, shipping
starts Jan'08. So it appears there's really no timing advantage to getting
the download version versus CD.
