I forgot: with the possible exception of the date record, you
should be able to import transactions like this:

D29/4/01
U-100.00
T-100.00
C*
NP150
PSuperStore
LMotor:Fuel/Car1
^

directly into a Q2006 "cash" account. From there, you can
select (as in a Windows "select") all the imported transactions,
then "cut" and "paste" them into any non-investment account.

(Get rid if the leading caret ("^") that preceded your first qif
file record; it was a stray from a previous transaction.)

Thanks. I managed to figure that one out after I discovered that
Quicken 2006 won't import a QIF file into checking, savings and credit
card accounts!
