I get "connection with the server could not be established". RIGHT?
It has to be Intuit's server problem - this happens way too often - big
problem. I can not easily switch to MS Money, but if anyone is
considering Money vs Quicken, please be advised that updating
securities prices with Quicken is often a problem - and sometimes it
gets incorrect prices and keeps putting those incorrect prices in your
computer when you update - EVEN AFTER YOU MANUALLY ENTER CORRECT
PRICES. As of now, it will not even connect with Intuit/Quicken's
server. This product, for keeping track of securities prices, is NOT
READY FOR PRIME TIME - and never has been!

All stock quotes US and CDN seem to be correct as of tonight but no CDN
Mutual Fund quotes are updating. Getting the same 'connection to the
server could not be established' message but if stock quotes updated to
closing prices ok then that error message is not correct.

"Unable to connect to server" is the message I get. Will try again
tomorrow. This does seem to be a frequent problem. Any time there's a
bump in the market the quote server fails. Oh well, I can wait till
tomorrow to see how much I made yesterday. It could be worse, the
market could have gone down.

It is probably more like anytime there is a bump in the market everybody
tries to get updated quotes and overloads the server(s). Less likely is
some kind of denial of service attack.

Seriously, Quicken / Intuit should take steps to fix this.

FWIW, I can't even get to the main www.quicken.com page this evening. There
is a temp page acknowledging what must be massive web server issues tonight.

Their message as of 20:25 EST quotes:
This service is temporarily unavailable. We are working to restore service
as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.

Wait and see, it's not like we pay for this service through our quadrennial
enforced software upgrades,
