Hmm.
Since you stated that at one point the button disappeared, and that now the
preference is unchanged but the button is back, is it possible that somehow
your preferences file is corrupted?
Try this.
Enter Quicken. Check the box to allow. Exit Quicken.
Now, do the process in reverse.
Does that fix it?
