I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the answer. When
I reconcile with Q06, I get a dialog asking to download the latest
transactions, which I do not want to do, I want to continue using the
paper statement. What do I do to stop the dialog from popping up.
Thanks in advance. Best, Bob

I think you are misunderstanding the message.

Quicken is not suggesting that you change from reconciling to a
paper statement. Quicken is suggesting that you have some
transactions that have not yet been downloaded, and implying
that you *might* need those transactions for your reconcile.

It will not hurt to download those transactions; you will still
be able to reconcile to your paper statement. Likewise, if you
have already downloaded all the transactions you need for your
reconcile, skipping the download, at that point, will not hurt
either.

Do a download right before starting your reconcile.

Hi John,
I wanted the prompting to download the transactions to stop. I
vaguely remember someone else had the same problem and there was a
proceedure to reset the message so that when you did the reconcile
with paper, the prompt to download transactions did not pop up. I may
be confused, I thought that started after I tried downloading
transactions from my bank as a test. Many thanks for your help. Best,
Bob

Are you suggesting that you do not want to download transactions
at all ... ever. If so, "Deactivate" the account for
transaction download; I suspect that will stop the message from
popping up.

Otherwise, I know of no way to eliminate that message.
