I sold a call option (naked call) and it expired worthless yesterday. Any
ideas on how to record that expiration?

thanks,

If your sell was recorded as a short sell, you may have better luck
recording a cover short sell.

Thanks Fred and Jim,

Jim, you're right, I did sell it short, so I guess recording the expiration
as covering a short should work.

Fred, in this case since it was a short position, I guess it's like I bought
it for $0.00.

While I was customizing a transaction history report, I noticed that one of
the "actions" available in the customizing screen was "expire", but I sure
can't find that in the various options of recording a transaction. I'm
going to go ahead and record is as covering a short position.

Thanks for the input guys.

Take care,
Hal
