 This is the first time this has happened and I do not know how to enter the
transaction into Quicken 2005. I have a dividend from a stock that I sold
during the month so the dividend is reinvested in a different stock. I have
always done the reinv div for the same stock.

You have two transactions: a dividend from the stock you sold,
which will increase the cash in your investment account; and a
buy of shares of the new stock for the same amount as the
dividend, which will reduce the cash in your investment account.
Net effect on cash = zero.
