I can't recall hearing of your problem before. I don't have any
good ideas.
You could try Editing the security before you next download and
unchecking the box "Matched with online security". You should
still get asked to "match" the downloaded name, but the download
after that, might not ask ... but I think it's a long shot.
Just in case there might be others who are seeing the same
thing, or who would have an idea about the problem, you might
post the name of the financial institution; and the name of the
security as you have it in Quicken and as it appears in the
download.
[The only way I can logically think to explain what you see is
the your fi is allowing unprintable garbage characters into the
name of the security in their downloaded data ... different
unprintable garbage in each download. While not impossible,
it's also not very likely. It's just the only thing I can think
of.]
