I'm a Quicken 2001 Basic user considering upgrading to a newer version.

Do the later versions of Quicken have the ability to auto move a transaction
date, i.e., say my pension check is auto deposited into my bank on the first
of each month. Presently if the first falls on a weekend or holiday Quicken
will update as though it happens on the first even if the first falls on a
weekend or holiday. I'd like the option to have Quicken automatically make
the transaction fall on the next business day, i.e., Monday or when handling
a Social Security transaction, normally the third of the month fall on the
business day previous to the third.

Can do?

Thanks.

Running QW2006 - it does not include the capability to recognize
'business day'.such as you are interested in.

As for SocSec, my experience is that SocSec payments key on a date such
as 'second Wednesday of month' - yes, QW can schedule this.

My Social Security direct deposits are on the 3rd of each month unless the
3rd falls on a weekend or is a holiday which in that case they are deposited
on the first business day previous to the 3rd. A few years back the 3rd of
January was a Sunday. Jan 1 was the holiday, the 2nd was a Saturday and the
3rd Sunday. The payment occurred on December 31, in the prior year! It
changed the W-2 form because then the income fell in the previous year.

My Lotus Organizer allows changes to Monday or Saturday when the payment
falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

Looks like a wish should be sent to the Quicken folks.
