Please log in for more thread options I agree with Stubby. It's not all that difficult to end up operating on a
backup copy of your file when you think you're using the original.
Displaying the full path name helps eliminate this possibility.
To display an extra-long file name in an N-character field they could show
the first N/2 - 2 characters followed by elipses and the last N/2 - 2
characters.
