I have been using Quicken for umteen years. I am holding the original
stock certificates but the  reinvested dividends are held by the
agent. Those shares I can sell through the agent. However, I need a
discount broker to sell the original stock(s).

I am wondering what strategies people have used to find the cost basis
of the original stock purchases?

Thank you.
