How can I substitute the comma, to separate dollars from cents, in a German
Quicken version, with a period, the way we use it in ES/English?

The German version is year 2000, my English version is 2006, bioth being
used with Windows XP Pro operating system.
I need both systems, but would love to have the decimal point a period in
both.

I tried that too and set it also for German, but that does not do the trick.
