Trouble exporting as QIF? Ian McCall 03-20-2007

Hi.

I have a largish Quicken file going back to about 1995, with lots of
different accounts in it. The version I'm using is Quicken 2002 Deluxe
& Business for the UK.

I'm trying to export my data as a QIF, but each time I do I just get a
1Mb QIF file created containing very few of my transactions. The
original QDF is 8.2Mb in size.

I'm following this procedure:

File->Export->QIF

...then in the resulting dialog...

QIF File to Export to: <my dir>/export.qif

Quicken Account to Export from: <all accounts>
Include transactions in Dates: 3/08/95 to 21/01/7

Include in Export
- transactions
- memorised transactions
- business lists
- account list
- security lists
- category list
(For Macintosh Users left unticked)

The export always comes out the same - 1k in size, tiny handful of
transactions. I've done a Validate before and it all seemed fine - any
ideas as to what's going on?

Cheers,
Ian

I'm not sure what's going on, but it does seem a bit like some
corruption is present ... despite the Validate results.

One approach might be to try exporting each list and each
account individually. The results should still be usable, and
in the course of the effort, you might discover that one, or
more, of the lists or accounts is the one that is creating your
problem.
