The taxable amount is too low on a conversion my wife did, from an IRA to
Roth. I think it's because I made accidentally made duplicate entries
when going through the 8606 interview, for wife's nondeductible IRA
contributions. I tried to delete 8606 but it keeps telling me that I
have a 8606-s. I try to delete it and it says okay, but when I go back
it's still there. When I do error check it tells me I have to fill out
the 8606 -- S. explanation. "Form 8606-S -- Explanation Stm: Detailed
Explanation-1 must be completed. Enter your explanation here to complete
the Basis Adjustment Explanation Statement."
Any Ideas on how I can delete the nondeductible IRA contributions and re
input them?
