I think what you mean here is that you get a display that
includes securities from what you believe should be two
different accounts. The Holdings pane on the Summary tab only
shows securities, not accounts. (Single Mutual Fund accounts
often create problems and confusion; one of the confusions is
that people frequently name the account exactly the same as the
underlying security, then forget that there is a big difference
between a security and an account.)
The first thing I would check is whether you have somehow
altered the account so it is no longer a SMF account.
I would also create an Investment Transaction report for that
account for "All Dates", and look for transactions for both
securities.

This is a very strange observation. The market value is the
number of shares multiplied by the price (it's not a stand alone
field; it's computed). Difficult to see how Quicken could screw
up one multiplication out of a great many.

It's always possible that you have some corruption; the only way
to fix it (short of sending the file to Intuit) is to Validate.
Validating does not find or fix all corruption. Make a Quicken
"copy" of your data and Validate that. If the problem is found
and fixed, make the "copy" your regular Quicken fileset.
