Although I have been downloading (presently Quicken Deluxe 2006) for many
years, I am having a problem with my downloads from Schwab. The error
message is OL-293-A. Working with the Schwab representative, we were not
able to resolve the issue. I can log onto the Schwab website with no
problem. I've verified that the account numbers in Quicken match the Schwab
accounts. Should there be or not be a dash or separator of any kind in the
account number? I've verified that the Quicken PIN is the same as the
password on the web page. We were unable to fix and Schwab has escalated my
problem to Third-Level support. It might be some days before support
contacts me.

In the meanwhile, perhaps someone can offer some constructive advice.

Thanks,
Pat

I don't use Schwab ... but you would probably be much happier using
either Tradelog or Gainskeeper for your investments instead of Quicken.

Quicken is brain-dead as far as stocks go. Both of these programs can
download from almost any broker.

No dashes in the account number. 8 straight digits, right?
The userid for Q ('customer id') is different than the account number,
right? The customer id is the same as your web logon id.
password in the Q PIN and web pw should be the same.

Works ok for me for multiple investments within my same account number.
Good luck!
