My wife has had a VALIC (403b) account for years. It has not
had the ability to download transactions for a long time. I've
never known how to keep the numbers accurate and just try to
keep them close.
From time to time I'll download the history and try to input
each transaction... but that quickly wears off when I find
issues I don't know how to resolve. So the data remains
approximate.
I saw a notice today that in June 2009, VALIC will allow Direct
Connect. This is interesting.
Is there a way to get her accounts squared away and setup
properly so the DC will import the data for me automagically?
Up 'til now, I've used one VALIC account which contains all the
transactions for her Basic account, Elective account, and
Matching account. I recently switched her contributions to an
Elective Roth account and have that separate from the others.
Any suggestions how to approach this?
