Quicken 2008 Premier

When I move my mouse button up and down in Cash and checking account
registers all behaves as I would expect. Move mouse up, slider moves
up. Roll mose wheel down and the slider moves down. Howver is all
my investment accounts, it does not matter which way I roll the mouse
wheel, the slider move up to earlier transactions.

Using Microsoft Intelli Point 6.2 if anybody cares.

Hi, Gordon.

I - and others - have been reporting that problem for at least a couple of
years, but it seems nobody cares. At least, nobody who could fix it. We're
not sure if it is Intuit's problem or Microsoft's. We've reported it to
both of them with no results.

If you can get any action from either of them - or even just a diagnosis -
please let us know.

I have the Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 6000, including the Microsoft
Wireless Laser Mouse 6000, bought directly from the Microsoft Company Store,
and Intellipoint 6.2 straight from the net. In MOST software, it works
well. But in Intuit produces (Q2008 Deluxe and TurboTax 2007 Deluxe), I get
erratic and inconsistent results, as you reported.

During the Vista beta, someone told me about a program (not a driver) called
X-Mouse Button Control from Highresolution Enterprises in England. This
worked well, but I haven't tried it recently and I don't recall if it solved
the Quicken problem, specifically. If you'd like to try it:
http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm

Please let us all know if it fixes this problem in Quicken.

I replaced my MS mouse with a Logitech and that solved this problem.
Logitech has it's own bug, but there's a workaround for that.
