What causes random update failures?

Since installing 2009 Deluxe (after using the Basic earlier version -
Basic didn't seem to be available), I've had a lot of problems
updating. A month ago all but one of my accounts at one institution
updated. This month four out of five did, but none did at another
instition (all OK last month). If I try to update from the
institution side (Export), once today it updated a different account
than the one I exported (haven't looked yet to see if the actual
transactions got mixed up). Or, it looks like it's trying to update
all the accounts at that institution (with only one export file
available). It shows the progress bar and then Quicken just shuts
down - no flag showing update occurred.

In other words - lots of problems. I'm guessing that it has to do
with resources and internet traffic and stuff like that???? Is that a
good guess???? Do other people have to try to update over and over
with different results?

This isn't nice.
