When I open Quicken, I get black overlays on top of my data

See attached:

I cannot see the files because the fields are overlaid in black. As I move
the cursor, some of the fields open up and then some are blackened out
again. It is random and just started right after I loaded release 9 for
2008. I tried loading 2008 w/o any updates and the same issue occurs.

Appreciate any help

I had a similar problem in QuickBooks and was told it can result from having
a modified Windows Classic desktop theme (Windows XP). So I changed to
Windows XP Theme and that did in fact cure it (even with the same mod to the
desktop color and background).
