I was cruising along with Quicken 2006 H&B for quite a while, logging
onto the BofA web site each week to download my transactions using
WebConnect. I could open a browswer within Q2006 and download the QFX
file. (Note, I don't subscribe to the $10 per month service for
one-step-update.)
Since upgrading to Q2007 H&B, Quicken will no longer open a browswer
window within Quicken, and forces me to configure the account for OSU.
When I run OSU though, I get a message CC-501 that I can't update data
due to an error on the Quicken server. Is this really an error on the
Quicken server, or is it because I don't subscribe to the OSU service
from BofA? Is there any way to just get my Q2006 behaviour back?
Thanks!

You don't have to use Express Web Connect for BoA.
De-activate your BoA account.
Go to the BoA web site, OUTSIDE of Quicken, and choose to download one of
your statements.
Choose the "Open" file option, and point it to your BoA account.
Bob
P.S. Keep in mind that BoA only downloads end-of-billing period statements
now, not current transactions.

Is that true for checking/savings accounts? Or just credit card
accounts?

Sorry, should have been more explicit.
My credit cards, i.e. BoA, AAA, LLBean only do end-of-period.
Checking, Savings, and Money Market accounts do current transactions.
Bob
P.S. I'm thinking of finally breaking down and paying the $9.95/month for
Online Banking ;-)

Switch banks.
Many offer free online banking.
