I am trying to set up and live within a budget. This may be a questiuon
about living and budgets in general as much as about Quicken, but since I
use Quicken to force me to do the things I need to do, I thougth I would ask
it here.

Two questions

- How do you manage budgetting monthly for htings you don't pay monthly;
haircuts, household items that have an average monthyl cost, medical that
has an average approx. yearly cost? I was thinking to simply view my budget
variance reports for a longer period, say quartlerly....

- How discreetly do you identify your budget items? If you want to save for
Christmas over the course of the year, house improvements, and general
emergency savings, do you have separate categories for that?

Thanks
