I use Quicken 2005 in XP. My QData files are six years old. I have some
monthly repeating entries from Scheduled Transactions.

I would like to change the category of one of these entries. Is it possible
to change the category of this entry for every instance of its appearance in
the Register in a "batch mode" rather than manually? I don't like the
prospect of doing this manually 70+ times.

Peter.

The original source of the existing register transaction
shouldn't have any effect on the ability to modify the
transaction: one-by-one, or en-masse.

If it's at all possible to mass change your existing
transactions, Find/Replace is virtually the only way to do it.

Edit > Find & Replace > Find/Replace

(You may want to make sure you do not have any Quicken account
open when you start the process; or you may need to click "Find
All" after you click "Find/Replace").

Again, many thanks for your help. The category boxes I wanted to replace
were empty and "Find and Replace" cannot work with an empty field. I really
thought you had the answer.

Or you just key one space into the field.
