Hi,

Can I edit a single occurrence of a scheduled bill or deposit in the
Bills section without entering it right then? An example is a scheduled
paycheck. You know it's going to be a different amount, but don't want
to enter it into the bank register a week early.

Thanks, Mike

You can change the amount or date of only the next payment, if you click
the "Edit" button on the scheduled transaction in the Bill and Income
Reminders List (or on the Bill and Income Remnders tab in the account) in
Q2009 (and probably Q2010).

Mike, fwiw, I too never have the same amount in my paycheck due to overtime,
gas travel payments, etc. I use a 'blank' template that simply has roughly
the NET amount in the income field (all taxes and deductions are zero since
they too vary), and have Q automatically enter this ahead of time. Then
when the statement occurs, I simply plop the real numbers in.

It gives me the forward looking cash flow position that I expect to have
several weeks out - I always try to see what is coming ahead a month ahead
of time. ALL of my scheduled bills and such as much as I know are included
in the automatic payments process. By looking at the bottom line at the end
of each month ahead, I roughly can anticipate my cash position.

Works for me, of course, your mileage may vary.
