running Q2004 -
one of my funds - Vanguard midcap - VIMSX -
is showing zero for the 1-month, 3-month and 12-month percentages
under the Recent Perf selections...
Any ideas what would cause this for this single fund ?
I've only seen zeroes reported for things like cash & MMkt funds with fixed
NAV.

I ran a small test in Q2004H&B. Bought 1 share of VIMSX on Jan
3, 2005 for the closing price on that date of $15.23.
Downloaded historical prices. Checked the Portfolio tab and
found 1, 3, and 12 month gain % of zero ... as you report.

Then I Edited VIMSX in the Security List, changing it so it
would *not* "Use Average Cost"; the Portfolio tab now shows
non-zero values for 1, 3 and 12 month gain %.

I have not attempted to verify that the percentages are correct.

If you intend to change the "Use Average Cost" setting, I would
be cautious. Heed the Quicken warning ... and make sure you
backup before you do it.

tnx John -
resolution sounds familiar -

I'll take a look.
