If you really want to change the name of the "account", go to:
Tools > Account List > (select account) > Edit
and key the new name in the Account Name field on the General
Information tab of the "Account Details" dialog box.
But since you imply there may be something to the fact that the
financial institution offers downloads, perhaps it is the
"financial institution" name that you want to change. And
perhaps you have the account "activated" for downloading.
You can take the same approach as above, but you must first
"deactivate" the account for downloads. Do that on the Online
Services tab of the "Account Details" dialog box.
[You can also just open the account register and click on the
"Overview" tab to see the "Edit Account Details" and "Change
Online Services" buttons.]
Be advised that deactivating and re-activating an account for
downloading will usually cause you to get a bunch of
transactions downloaded that have been downloaded before, when
you do your first download after re-activating. If you really
have a different financial institution, you may be better off
creating a new Quicken account.
The above is based on Q2005; you did not specify what version
you are using; your path and the names of things may vary
somewhat if you do not have Q2005.
