Quicken 2007 Home & Business; Win2000.
Installed yesterday. This is my first experience with Quicken. I am
asking here because, as far as I can determine, the Intuit support site
is a disaster. At any rate:
Although, my browser passes Intuit's online security test (128-bit
encryption), I can find no way to direct Quicken to use it. Instead, it
insists on IE. The issue does not seem to be addressed on the support
site or in what passes for user guides; anybody know how to accomplish
this?

TIA,
Derald

I don't think you can ever get Quicken to use a non-IE browser
for every browser related task; but when it is possible, I think
you can do it by clicking "Full Browser" in the Quicken mini-IE
window.

You are correct - the site is a disaster.
You are incorrect - the issue is addressed. If you look under System
Requirements for the product you'll find "IE 6.0 or higher" buried, er I
mean, listed.

Well, yes, thanks; I did see that. However, the existence of a
compatibility test would seem to imply an alternative. Also, Q would not
be the first product I've seen that "requires" IE (for example) but that
may accommodate others.

It does accommodate other browsers. As someone else pointed out, when you
click on the tab for 'full browser' your preferred browser is the one that
is used (you have set your preferred browser as 'default' within Windows,
haven't you?)
But you can't get rid of IE. Quicken requires it.
