I know of and use the Hide the Account for old accounts. My problem is
that the names of the accounts still appear in the drop down box when I
want to transfer money between a couple of savings accounts and my
checking accounts and Visa. Like I said in my original posting, the
old accounts still appear. I would expect that a hidden account would
not appear in the accounts to choose from for transferring money in
that deop down window. Some of my old accounts are ten years old and
what do I need them to appear for in a current transaction window?
nothing.

You didn't say that in your original post.

You also didn't say in your original post that you have told
Quicken *not* to "View Hidden Accounts". (Which is found in the
Options menu on the View Accounts tab in the Account List.)

John
You must be stressed by the holidays, this is so not like you!!
So he didn't say it in his original post, but now he has, do you have a
solution to his restated problem? You usually do.
Merry Christmas to you I have always been impressed with your knowledge of
Quicken.

Go back to "Tools > Account List >View Accounts and make sure "View
Hidden Accounts" is not selected under "Options" That takes them out
of my Q2005 drop down lists.
