John,
The problem with the category list not displaying in a register (it
was all fis and all transaction periods) goes away when I disable the
display of the tag field. I wasn't aware that could be turned off. I
also improved the register displays by setting the "maximize my
register view" in preferences. I'll have to go back to v2007 and see
how it is customized because I didn't change any setting on
conversion.
I do suspect this has something to do with my display resolution, but
not probably not the driver per se. During installation, I got a
message to the effect that Quicken wanted a higher resolution than I
run at (800 x 600). I have an old system and a small monitor by
today's standards. The higher resolutions make everything too small on
my screen. Perhaps this has something to do with my display problems,
but at least getting rid of the tag field has made things comparable
to version 2007. I really must get a new computer.
Thanks for making me aware of these customization options.
