Quicken 2007 does come with the same old Home Inventory version that
was around for years. Intuit placed a nice ad banner to advertise their
new Home Inventory Manager that is available for $29.99 when you select
Home Inventory from the pull down menu inside quicken.

Interestingly, just before the old version launches, I get a message
telling me that my C: Drive is running out of disk space, even though
it's not. I suspect that the 16-bit (I think?) version of Home
Inventory doesn't like my Windows XP NTFS partition. It happens to me
on two different computers, so I think it's more likely a software bug
then a problem with my specific PC.
Hope that helps....

that does help. thanks a lot.

i only use the inventory part to track a few items i have and since that
doesn't change very often, the banner ad probably won't bother me that much.

i hate it when software companies want you to purchase the latest release or
upgrade of their software and when you do and get it installed, you find out
that you now have less that what you had.

thanks again
