I am using Quicken 2006 deluxe and cant seem to find a report format similar
to below crude example. In-out separate but all transactions listed in date
order. Hints please.

date whatever amount
1/20/07 deposit $200
next date in order interest $ 5
etc etc etc
total $255

-------------------------------------------------------------
outflow
1/22/07 food $23
next date in order party $100
ect etc etc
total $209

Grand total $ 46

Based on limited experience, my guess is that you're stuck.

The report format underwent massive changes from '05 to '06. One result,
you have probably noticed, is that the total of a category appears at the
TOP of the list of items being added. I went back to '05 because of that.

That style flies in the face of "standard" accounting reports. Alas, Intuit
(or their present software developers......who are probably "off-shore")
don't see that as a problem.

Thanks JustMe Well it wont be the first time I couldn't do what I wanted. It
may not be standard accounting practice but it works great to post on a BB
for a club.
My main complaint is the lack of a "sample" report for the various choices.
