I am using Quicken H&B 2005. Has anyone gone through this conversion?
I went to do a web connect update of my First National Bank Omaha
account and got a pop up window saying I had to convert all of my
smartOne accounts. It didn't say what smartOne was or how to identify
the accounts that were affected. I have a load of accounts that use
direct connect and a few that use web connect. Do I have to convert
all of my accounts, all of my web connect accounts or only the ones
that use smartOne (whatever that is). How do I identify accounts that
use smartOne?
I am particularly impressed with:
"Important: To avoid the possibility of creating duplicate records
when downloading into Quicken, select a "from" date that does not
include records previously downloaded from smartOne® Banking."
This sounds like the transactions are going to go directly into the
registry instead of the "Accept transactions into register" section.
Pop up Message Follows:
Quicken® for Windows® account conversion instructions
Step 1. BACK UP YOUR CURRENT DATA
Choose File menu >> Backup.
Specify which file to back up and where you want the backup saved in
the Quicken Backup dialog, and then click OK.
Step 2. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST QUICKEN UPDATE
Choose Online menu >> One Step Update.
In the One Step Update Settings dialog, uncheck any boxes that are
checked, and then click Update Now.
If a software update is available, then you will be prompted to apply
it now.
Once the update is complete, restart Quicken.
Step 3. DEACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNTS WITH smartOne® Banking
Quicken banking customers: right-click your first smartOne® Banking
account from the list under CashFlowCenter.
Select Edit account from the pop-up menu.
In the Account Details dialog, click the Online Services tab.
Quicken 2007: Click Remove Connection or Remove from One Step Update
in the One Step Update area.
Confirm the remaining prompts.
1. Quicken 2007 Click the General Information tab. In the Financial
Institution field, type First National Bank Omaha.
Optionally, edit the Account Name field to reflect the new
financial institution.
Quicken 2004-06: Click Deactivate in the Transaction Download area.
Confirm the remaining prompts.
Click OK to close the Account Details dialog.
Repeat steps 1 through 6 for each smartOne® Banking account from which
you download transactions.
Step 4. ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNTS WITH FIRST NATIONAL BANK OMAHA
Open a Web browser and log in to First National Bank Omaha's Web site.
Download your transactions into Quicken.
Important: To avoid the possibility of creating duplicate records when
downloading into Quicken, select a "from" date that does not include
records previously downloaded from smartOne® Banking.
Click the Use an existing Quicken account radio button. In the
corresponding drop-down list, select the Quicken account that you used
for smartOne® Banking.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each account that you will use for online
banking with First National Bank Omaha.
