Problem with that theory is that I've got a Southwest Airlines Visa,
issued by Chase, that's Direct Connect. And that's my only account at
Chase or JPMC.

OK. I only have Chase Freedom card, and it's Web Connect/Web Express
and no Direct Connect. Bummer.
Maybe it's regional then?

Go to Customer Center, then Activate Money, Quicken, etc.
That should allow you to use Direct Connect with your Chase Freedom.

I suspect that rather than being regional pricing (I live in
Tennessee), it's the fact that I pay $59 per year for the SWA Visa.

It should also be noted, however, that last year I earned 10 free
tickets on Southwest by using that $59 card ... and I'll take trades
like that anytime.
