Need someone local to help with 2006 & 2007 US taxes for an individual
living and working overseas. Will be in Colorado Springs, CO April
21-25 2008 for consult.

You should be sure that the person you consult has experience in
working with expats. I have been doing expat tax returns for many
years and I can't count the number of returns, prepared by CPAs and
EAs, that got it wrong. The rules may seem uncomplicated but, in
actual practice, their application can be quite complex.

Ask the person how many expat returns he/she has prepared. If they
say they have not done many, walk away, even if they claim they can
handle your situation.
