Has anyone prepared a DC D-20 this year yet? I just discovered that
the advertising expense is not flowing from the federal to the DC
return in my software. Even more surprising, I don't even see
advertising as a line item on the D-20 this year.

It should show on Line 24 as Other Deductions.
Test this, input an income number and only the advertising cost and see if
that isn't showing on that line.

I found out there is an error in our software (Thompson GoSystem).
There is an input to manually input the advertising but it's still not
flowing to the D-20.
Thanks.

Ugh, I swear these software developers probably have never even seen
the tax forms! This year we couldn't get the DC D-30 to print a
separate DC location address different from the mailing address. In
past years we could just override it on the screen but this year they
took that option away to "preserve the integrity of the application."
