HCRA which year to count reimbursement? Una 02-11-2008

I paid X into a HCRA in 2007, incurred and paid unreimbursed medical
expenses >X in 2007, and will be reimbursed for those expenses from
the HCRA in 2008. My question: do I subtract the HCRA reimbursement
from my 2007 medical expenses, or from my 2008 medical expenses?

TIA,

        Una

2007 - because your deduction is allowed only up to the point that it's
unreimbursed or reimbursable. Reimbursement need not be in the same tax
year.
