Can the SS-8 determination process be cancelled prior to a
determination?
Employer has threatened to fire me due to filing an SS-8.
I realize there are laws and serious consequences to the employer with
unfavorable determination by the IRS - not to mention breaking
Whistleblower protection laws by firing an employee for filing an
SS-8.
My main question is can the process be cancelled (if I choose to)
after the SS-8 form has already been filed (and before a determination
is made)?

By the IRS, yes. By you, no.
