Situation:
T/P makes an election by 4/15/09 for MTM. He has net $50k in losses,
but can only use $3k this year. Can he use the entire carryover $47k
next year?

Not unless he has at least $44k of capital gains next year.

Please log in for more thread options Ok. Now I'm really confused. (Is that better than stupid?)
The from line above this posting window says, "Bill Brown
previous post (the one about using, or misusing, my wife's computer).
But, that post (and the one before it) purports to have been made by
an "Andrea Brown" which is my wife's name. My wife was using my
computer yesterday. What did she do to my google account?
