As tax season picks up, I will try to post the newsgroup
three times a day. Plan on submission cutoffs of 7:30am EST,
4:30pm EST, and 10pm EST. It won't necessarily happen that
way but I will try.

Top-posting really slows me down when reviewing posts. Top
posting is fine for e-mail, but it is really not acceptable
where threads are being formed. The appropriate thing to
do is to snip the unneeded portions of the message to which
you are responding and post within and/or below the relevant
text.

What slows me down even more is when someone reformats
messages that I already reformatted. Please don't do it!

Today I received an e-mail from someone who wanted to know
why his submission did not get posted. It was obvious. He
submitted using HTML. Almost all HTML e-mail gets deleted
by my e-mail filter. His latest e-mail passed my filter due
to a quirk in one of the filter recipes. The general rule is
"Moderated newgroups do not post HTML submissions". The only
exception I'm able to conjure up might be a robo-moderated
newsgroup.
