I am a resident of Alabama and a nonresident of NY. This year I sold a
house that I owned in NYC. I used IT-2663 to pay estimated taxes on
the sale via the closing attorney at the time of closing this past
July.

I am now looking at IT-203 (not IT-2663 as previously written)
Nonresident tax return to see where I would take credit for the tax
paid with the IT-2663. Under the "Payments.." section on Pg. 4, the
only places I see that *might* be applicable are Line-62 "Total New
York State tax withheld" or Line-65 "Total estimated tax
payments/amount paid with Form IT-203".

Would one of those be correct or is there someplace else on IT-203
that I am missing? It looks to me like Line-65 is the correct place.
Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for any help.

You are correct. The instructions for Form IT-203 line 65
say to include it on that line. (Page 43 of the 2007
instructions, at the bottom right.)

Thanks for the confirmation Bob. I was able to get the instructions
and confirmed that Line 65 is indeed correct.

Sorry for answering my own post, but I was *finally* able to download
the instructions for the IT-203 from NY and it appears that Line-65 is
indeed the correct place to enter the payments associated with
IT-2663.
