I am a resident Alien since 2002 ( L1 ).
The other day I was discussing with a friend in similar
situation and he told me that by advice of tax preparation
firm, he should deduct his vehicle expenses.
We basically use the vehicles to going to work in the
morning and coming back from work in the evening.
His argument is that this is allowed because we would be
here in US, far from home, just to work and so this
deduction is justified.
Does this make any sense or it was a bad advice?
Thanks is advance,
