A single member LLC did some work for another company. The other
company wants to send a 1099 for the work complete. Do they have to
use the EIN and company name or the SS # and the person's name to
report the monies payed to the single member LLC.

but it's more busineslike to use the ein - mod

They use what's on the W-9 the contractor gave them.

And that should be the EIN for the LLC.
