Clearly at this point you can't do anything before the
filing deadline, but there was no need to do so. All you
really need to be able to prove is that you MAILED them, not
that they were received.
Anyway, if you still haven't received the return receipts,
and want to know if they were received or not, you can check
on the US Postal Services website, www.usps.com and enter
the tracking number where indicated. They keep data online
for six months.
