I received a Form 8009 with a copy of my Form 1040x from the IRS. I
forgot to sign my original 1040x, so I need to send them a signed
copy. Anyway, I'm wondering two things:
- do I need to send back the Form 8009 along with my Form 1040x?
- what destination do I need to send the form(s) back?
My original 1040x was sent to Atlanta, GA. There's no indication of a
formal return address on the letter that I got besides the address on
the envelope.
I'm assuming that it is the address on the envelope. I just wanted to
confirm because I've gotten bills and forms before that required a
destination address other than the one shown on the envelope.
Thanks!
