I received a letter from the IRS stating that they were
making a correction to my student loan deduction. They
included a payment coupon for the taxes that are owed. They
also state that if i wish to challenge I can contact them.
Will challenging this change subject me to a full audit? Or
will they simply ask for some documentation of my student
loan deduction tax forms? I feel that they may have not
received the notification from my student loan lender
regarding how much student loan interest I payed.
Thanks
