I moved twice in the last two years. Not from "City A" to
'City B" to "City C", but rather from "City A" to 'City B"
and from "City A" to 'City B" .
The reason for this was that I moved some of my stuff, and
left the rest in storage with family (hence did not pay any
"monatary" storage fees). The first move had all I could
fit onto the largest U-Haul. The next year, I went back and
moved the rest (including some building supplies and such).
I claimed the first move on 2004 taxes. Can I claim this
second move on my 2005 taxes? I did this because in case I
moved back, I'd have just the essentials.
My neighboor moved about twenty years ago and had 2
commercial vans rented. I figured he just wrote up the move
as one big bill with two trucks.
