form 1040x - can only be filed on paper
... and don't forget to amend the state too

Please log in for more thread options
You can claim the dependent by filing an amended tax return
on Form 1040X.

I don't think you can file the 1040X electronically so you
will need to mail it in. However, if your original return
showed that you overpaid, then wait to file the 1040X until
after you received the refund.

1040X amended return on paper
